Propane Tanks
| Propane Consumption Facts:
In a gallon of propane there is 91,500 BTU's, but we as recreational comsumers of propane buy propane by the pounds; we get our 20 pound gas grill tank filled, or we buy small disposible propane bottles. A gallon of propane weighs 4.24 pounds. So a pound of propane has 21,600 BTU's of work in it. If you know the BTU rating of the appliance your using you can determine how long it will run on a 14.1oz. or 16.4oz disposible bottle, or how long your 4.25lb or 11 lb bulk tank will last. Hope you find this info handy! |
